On a normal BuddyPress install when a user creates a blog of their own it uses the default WordPress theme, which is not good as it dosen’t look the same as your home theme and it contains no link back to your site. Here is how to use your home theme as a members blog theme.
1. Create a copy of your home theme, save it somewhere and rename it.
2. Open the Style.css file and change the ‘Theme name’ to Blogs.
3. Delete the Home.php file.
4. Move the new theme back to wp-content/themes/.
5. Activate it under Site Admin -> Themes.
6. Go to a member blog, and under the ‘appearance’ tab activate the theme.
That’s it, your done. You can use a plugin like New Blog Defaults that will allow you to select the theme as default when a user creates a blog, aswell as other default settings. The Blog, Home, Members, Groups and Blogs links will not work so you will have to hard code them in the Header.php file.
